Sporting Clays is not a club event
and is run by an outside vendor.
They shoot Sundays and Fridays 9am-2pm.
Also have NSCA Shoots.

Trap shooting is every Wednesday evening from 5pm until 9pm.

COWBOY ACTION

The Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) is an international membership organization formed in 1987 to preserve and promote the sport of Cowboy Action Shooting™. SASS serves as the governing and sanctioning body for the sport of Cowboy Action Shooting™ and Wild Bunch Action Shooting™ worldwide – ensuring safety and consistency in the sport. SASS members share a common interest in preserving the history of the Old West and competitive shooting in a safe, fun, family-friendly environment.

HUNTERS EDUCATION

2025 Dates: April 12, June 14, August 2

Oregon requires a Hunter Education certificate for individuals younger than 18. Before attending Field Days, kids attending Field Day at Siuslaw Rod and Gun Club must first take an online course. Details are available at the following link: https://myodfw.com/articles/hunter-education-classes-and-field-days-schedule.

Upon completion of an online course, students should print the online completion voucher, and bring it with them to Field Day. Registering for Field Day can be done at the same link. Seats fill up quickly, and may be limited by Covid State mandates at the particular date.

Hunter Education Field Day Schedule

8:00-9:00 AM: Registration.

9:00-10:50: Overview of hunting and safety principles and OR. Hunting laws.

11:00-Noon: First of three performance rotations (walking the hunting trail; 22 LR range or shotgun range or 3 ways of starting a fire.

12:00-1:00: Lunch and movies

1:00-2:00: Second rotation

2:00-3:00: Third rotation

3:00-3:45: Test Prep, questions on the day, what learned . . .

3:45-until done: Written O.D.F.W. Hunter Education Exam

Test is corrected upon completion and temporary Hunter Ed Card is issued upon successful passing of all three phases: Attitude, Skill and Knowledge.

Lunch is not provided.
