SUICIDE / CRISIS 24/7 HOTLINE: DIAL 988

THE NEXT CLUB BUSINESS MEETING IS THURSDAY MARCH 4, 2026 AT 6PM.

New Member Orientations are on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month. Starting at 1PM Sharp!

NEW PROCEDURE FOR GUESTS

The club has changed insurance carriers due to the fact that the old carrier no longer insures gun clubs, or firearm related businesses. The new carrier, which is nationally recognized, requires that each time a non-member or guest enters the property where shooting is taking place, they must fill out a liability waiver. A waiver must be filled out for each visit, even if they’ve filled one out on a prior visit.

To implement this policy, the waivers will be placed in distribution boxes on each range, along with a deposit box for the completed forms. Once the form is filled out, including the name of the sponsoring member, place it in the deposit box. A copy of the waiver is enclosed, which may be copied or used, if bringing a guest, but waiver forms will also be available on every range. Waivers will be kept on file for a period of at least a year.

We ask that everyone help to ensure this process is adhered to, as our insurance coverage depends on compliance. If a non-member is found who has not completed the required form, they will be instructed to leave the property immediately, along with the member who brought them. Repeated violations of this policy could affect a member’s membership status. PLEASE DON’T BE THE PERSON WHO PUTS THE CLUB’S INSURANCE IN JEOPARDY.

Another issue which keeps coming up is pets on the club property, particularly dogs. Some members insist on bringing their dogs to the range and letting them roam free. They also don’t clean up after their pets. Members who have stepped in dog poop have complained about this problem and there has also been instances of a dog running downrange on the rifle range while shooting has been going on.

Lane County Ordinances require that dogs be kept on a leash, and that owners clean up after their pets. There are signs around the club reminding members to keep their pets on a leash, but some have been ignoring this. If this continues, then the club will have no choice but to either ban dogs on the shooting areas, or take direct action against the offending members.

The cure for this problem is really simple, either leave your dogs at home, or keep them in your vehicle when coming to the range. If you take your dog out of your vehicle, it must be on a leash and you are required to pick up after it. Like mentioned, it’s a simple cure.

Sincerely, The Board of Directors.

Choosing The Right Archery Bow For A Beginner

RAPID FIRE ON CLUB RANGES

It has come to our attention that some members using the rifle and pistol ranges are firing at an excessive rate to simulate automatic fire. This is strictly prohibited. Our policy allows only one round per second, as clearly indicated on signs posted at all ranges. Rapid fire is permitted only on the Action Ranges for Cowboy Action, Advanced Shooter Practice, Law Enforcement, and Coast Guard training.

Please follow these rules, as we have nearby neighbors and must ensure all rounds remain on our property. Failure to comply may result in membership revocation. A first offense will receive a warning; a second offense will result in removal from club property.

These rules are in place for everyone’s safety.
